On A Mission to Rule the World!

The last 3 wrestling seasons have been nothing but amazing! I have had a total of four wrestlers in my house (two were girls)! My 16 year old, Rylee, (then 15) was not a fan of participating - but loves watching and cheering! My 11 year old has quite literally fallen in love with the sport and what it teaches her about herself and life!

There are a lot of individuals that are out there criticizing the exploding news over women's wrestling that is hitting the nation by storm this season! Let me just say, SHAME ON YOU! This is a profound accomplishment for these female wrestlers! I, for one, am extremely proud of every female wrestler I have met through three seasons! Wrestling is the hardest sport that I have ever had the privilege to be a part of! They put in the same amount of work, if not more, to get to where they are this season! The first ever sanctioned high school girls state wrestling happened and it was awesome for my young daughter to see! She got to witness history being made and fierce competition unfold! Talk about "girl power"!!! My question to those criticizing and tearing girls wrestling down is this, "What is so wrong with them getting recognized for a sport that teaches more than moves?" My true feeling is that these individuals are downright jealous that females are getting the spotlight over all the years men's wrestling has been around! You won't ever change my mind on that!

To all those being "haters" with the spotlight on women's wrestling, this is for you! We aren't going anywhere! Sorry if the boys didn't get the spotlight this season, but every single woman/girl that participated this season deserved every ounce of recognition across the nation! To all the Oklahoma girls wrestling participants, coaches, parents, and fans: This one's for you!
