When I was growing up in the 80's and 90's, people who revealed their dark side was frowned upon. Frankly, they scared me a lot. As I have gotten older and wiser, I have come to realize that we all have a dark side to us. I raise my children to embrace all the sides and personalities. It keeps my life very interesting and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Yesterday, we have a photo shoot for other clients and my 11 year old was really down (she lost one of her favorite teachers). I decided to take pictures with her once the other clients left. What was supposed to be a picture in honor of her teacher, turned creepy once I started editing. As much as I wanted to honor Mrs. Rusk, I couldn't turn back what I created! I love the way the image turned out. She is my creative child and she loves all things creepy and spooky!

I love that she embraces these different sides of her personality! Mrs. Rusk encouraged her students to be themselves through and through. We should be as kind, thoughtful, loving, and passionate about her students and life as she was during her entire life and battle with cancer and COVID. Let your children embrace who they are and encourage them every step of the way!
